1. What cookies and local storage are
Short explanation covering cookies, localStorage and sessionStorage, and the fact that this policy applies to all of them.
2. Strictly necessary
Authentication session tokens issued by the backend, CSRF protection, trusted-device identifiers used for two-factor authentication, and load-balancing cookies. These cannot be disabled without breaking sign-in.
3. Functional preferences
Selected interface language and text direction, billing-currency preference, and dismissed-notice flags. Stored in the browser, no personal identifier attached.
4. Analytics and performance
Aggregated usage measurement, if enabled. State the provider, retention period and whether data is pseudonymised, and confirm that these are set only after consent where consent is required.
5. Marketing and referral attribution
Affiliate referral code stored at sign-up time so the referring partner can be credited, plus any advertising cookies. Include the storage lifetime.
6. Third-party cookies
Cookies set by the payment provider during checkout and by embedded media, and links to those providers' own policies.
7. Managing your choices
How to change consent on the site, and how to block or delete cookies in the major browsers, with a note that blocking necessary cookies prevents signing in.
8. Cookie table
Insert a table of every cookie and storage key with name, provider, purpose, type and duration before launch. It must match the keys actually set by the application.
